Have you guys ever heard of Vocaloid before? It is a new voice synthesizing software developed by Crypton for Yamaha. The second series released in Japan for this software is the Character series. In this series of Vocaloids, each voice is represented by a manga-style character, and the voices are sampled from voice actors in anime. The most well known, and my personal favorite, character is Hatsune Miku. For a long time Vocaloid was a very obscure software, until various fan videos of Miku began popping up..like the leek spin...(it's a long story why she is hold a leek)... Anyway..she (I prefer to refer to her as a character) can be used to create some pretty innovative music. There is the cuteness factor that I like, but I personally see more to her character. Whenever I hear a song made using her, I always feel like it is actually Hatsune Miku singing to us, as if she is the one writing the song lyrics. Even if it sounds really artificial sometimes. Er..yeah, I'm ranting here... Here's one of the best videos of her...the song itself doesn't sound that artificial. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ur9rghfOkU
