I ordered their names so they'd be in a pyramid shape. *has issues* I think Dess is the awesomest, as she can do math that would make any normal human's brain short circut, and thus could help the rest of us with our homework. (If she exisited.)

I think you do, too, Demongirl.
Because they are great and I WANT TO MARRY REX, YES I DOOOO! And unfortunately, I told the dude that I liked that he reminded me of Rex less than three sentences after I announced this statement, without realizing the implications. Ah well, I just laughed it off by doing a little seductive tongue flick and saying, "Well, that is true..." when he pointed that out.
Rex is a darling. That is all.

Hmmm... I don't own the Midnighters books... I've only checked them out of the library, so here's a random quote I found on another avatar:
"I should have told you: This isn't a dream."
But I really want to use a better line... I wish I had the books on hand. BLAAAAAH. Any of y'all have one?

I have all three! I saw them in Barnes and Noble, squeed (scaring my aunt, who was with me at the time) and bought them! I just am too lazy to go and get them.

While this has nothing to do with this particular series, this same author has written a fascinating steampunk novel on an alternate history WWI in which the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, etc.) are armed with walking war machines, and the Allies (Britain, Russia, France, etc.) are armed with fabricated creatures, including, as the main part of the novel, the eponymous giant hydrogen breathing whale-airship Leviathan. It follows Prince Aleksander, (I think he's a Hapsburg, but I'm not sure) son of a morganatic marriage between the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and a lady-in-waiting, and Deryn/Dylan, a "cross-dressing Scottish girl"(as Wikipedia calls her), who signs up for the British air force. It's the first in the series, and it's quite good.
