Okay, here are some facts about Brisingr that I have found over the internet, and I've added my own comments. Please put what you think here!
On January 16, 2008 the title of book three was released as Brisingr. "Brisingr" (meaning Fire) is the first word from the Ancient Language that Eragon used. Concerning Brisingr, Paolini said, "In this new book, it will be revealed to be even more meaningful than even Eragon could have known." One must not forget that the titles of the first two books in the cycle were directly related to major characters so it is likely that Brisingr will directly relate to a character, new or old.
(Well no duh.)
There will be a battle at the end of the book.
(See above respondse. These people are very original.)
At the end of Eldest, the Varden still favor Nasuada in terms of leadership, but in the third book, this might change.
(Hint the might, that means that they will.)
In the third book it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
( Cymbalta! Sorry Morey, couldn't help myself. XD Hm...Saphira and Thorn!)
Elva, along with "every other character," will have an important role to play.
(That includes Angela, right, right! It better have, or I might have to go all ninja on you Chris.)
How Thorn, Murtagh's dragon, matured so quickly will be explained.
(O.o)
An important character will die in the closing chapters of the book.
(*Gasp* Bet its Nasuada. Bet that the Varden blames her for something and then they have a mutiny. Or she feels betrayed and sacrifices herself. Something like that. That would lead way for Angela and Murtaugh! ^.^)
A Spoiler has been released on the official inheritance site stating that Eragon will meet a god in this book.
(Couldn't think of anything here.)
More of the Dwarf culture will be revealed.
(Do I want to know? O.o)
On May 12, 2008 a spoiler video was released on www.Shurtugal.com that Eragon will meet "an enemy that laughs a lot, and not in a good way."
(Mwah ha ha!)
In a July 1, 2008 newsletter from alagaesia.com, Paolini revealed that Brisingr will have a subtitle: "The Seven Promises of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular ".
(Did anyone else notice that Saphira's last name kinda sounds like fart?)
On July 14, 2008, a third spoiler was released on Alagaesia.com, stating that "In Brisingr, one of the characters will become pregnant".
(Well, that rules out Eragon, Murtaugh, and Orik. But I guess still leaves in Roran and Galbatorix. XD He he he. Hm, most likely Saphira, cuz you know how people love happy endings, but also there is still the fourth book! Katrina is still in the running, that is if they rescue her and she isn't eaten or anything like that. Arya has a very, very small possibility. (Eragon you dirty little thing!) I've taken out Nasuada, and Angela, cuz they don't seem like possibilities.)
More to come as the debut of the new book looms toward us!
It comes out in 17 days! *Squeeeeeee!!!*
