The Rules

Okay, the rules are as follows:


  • Swearing is NOT tolerated. It will be censored. No questions asked. Have a nice day.
  • Netspeak is not tolerated either. You are a competent human being. Type like it.
  • Hacking is not permissable. Sorry.
  • Stealing Mr. Happiness is not nice. Bring him back.
  • All posts will be moderated.
  • Respect other people's opinions. You may know James Norrington is a studmuffin. Others may not.
  • Rude comments about James Norrington will get your privleges removed.
  • Disrespecting ANY moderator, HoH, admin or gmod is strictly prohibited. If you have a problem with one of us, PM me, don't post it.
  • If you can't say something on topic, don't say anything at all. This includes flames. If it's a debate, keep it logical and polite. If it's a thread about hating something, don't go crying that someone hurt your feelings. If it's a thread about liking something, don't go saying it sucks. Or I will punish you.



In the recent event of a Flame War, I decided that I would add this link to the MNFF tolerance policy: http://fanfiction.mugglenet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3562
I advise you all to read it and adhere to it, because, while you have the right to an opinion, if it is rude or offensive to others, please keep it to yourself.

For example, let's say that Mary was a firm Lily Evans/Severus Snape shipper and that Sue was an equally firm Lily Evans/James Potter shipper. If Mary was to say that James Potter was a stupid, arrogant poop-head who made her want to throw up and that Lily should have never married him, Sue would most likely find that offensive. If Sue said the same thing about Snape, Mary would be offended. And both would be blocked from this site. Got it? Good, I don't want any Mary/Sues. Ha, ha...Mary Sues...funny...

From now on, an infringement of the rules will result in a warning.

Two will bring your warning bar to 100%.

Three will result in your account being disabled for a day.

Four will result in your account being disabled for a week.

Five will result in being banned from the forums for two weeks.

Six will result in being banned from the forums for a month.

Seven will result in a permanent ban, until you apologize through email.

Eight will result in being banned until you apologize through email to all the admins, moderators and HoHs.

Nine will result in a ban until you apologize to all members via the c-box.

Ten will result in being banned and your account being deleted permanently. And your being blocked from our emails.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments on this, please post them here.

EDIT: I forgot to mention flame wars. Flame wars will take you up immediately to your account being disabled for a day. Moderators will decide who started the flame war. If you argue, you get banned longer. Got it? Good.

EDIT 2: Only the person who STARTED the flame war will be punished. That's why the mods are voting.

I think we should bring up the subject of pretend flame wars.
What if two friends, who for some strange reason enjoy preteding to bring eachother down. What does the all powerful administrator have to say in case of this?

Hmm...That is a good idea...I think that that should be viewed the same way, because it's still a pain in the butt to everyone else.
